The Food Technology Program provides Kalianna students’ hands on cooking experience whereby they create healthy dishes both safely and hygienically. They learn the importance of healthy eating and the impact it has on our bodies and overall health.
Students who participate in the Food Technology Program, (from year ten onwards) have the opportunity to complete the VET Kitchen Operations training which comprises of two units-
Use hygienic practices for food safety
Prepare and present simple dishes.
