We are delighted to announce that Drama has now been added as a Specialist subject for students at Kalianna School. Through a range of drama-focused games and activities on a weekly basis, students will have the opportunity to explore creative thinking, effective group dynamics, social and interpersonal topics, work on their use of voice and body, and become more active learners.
Our Drama program is designed to incorporate elements of music, dance, literacy (public speaking), and I.T., enabling students to develop a wide range of skills that are valuable in all aspects of their lives. By participating in Drama, students will be encouraged to step outside their comfort zones, try new challenges, and learn new skills that will help them become more confident, expressive, and creative individuals.
At Kalianna, we recognise the importance of Drama in our students' learning, as Dramatic play is a core part of the Victorian Curriculum for all levels 7 to 10. Our Drama program has been carefully designed to meet the learning outcomes of the curriculum while also providing an engaging and fun learning experience for our students.
We are thrilled to announce the launch of our Drama program at Kalianna School and cordially invite you to join us in celebrating this exciting addition to our curriculum.
As part of our celebration, we are hosting our annual School Concert at the prestigious Ulumbarra Theatre in Bendigo during Term 4. This concert is a showcase of the exceptional talent and creativity of our students across all grade levels and will feature a range of engaging and entertaining performances.
We encourage you to join us for an evening of artistic expression and support our students as they demonstrate their newfound skills and talents in Drama, music, dance, and literacy.
We take pride in providing our students with a well-rounded education that fosters creativity, confidence, and critical thinking. Our Drama program is a testament to our commitment to delivering an exceptional learning experience that equips our students with the skills they need to succeed in all aspects of their lives.
We look forward to welcoming you to our School Concert and celebrating the achievements of our students in Drama and the performing arts.
